Erich Sattler’s refreshing saignée rosé is naturally fermented from ripe Zweigelt grapes, grown in the gravely soils near Lake Neusiedl. Erich has been expirmenting for years with natural ferments and starting with the 2016 vintage, all of his wines, including the Rosé are made in this manner. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, the character is lighter than Nigl or Hofer’s Zweigelt Rosé, more akin to the very fine Rosé from Bründlmayer, with more assertive minerality.
